    Hey Kyle, thank you so much for your amazing detailed concise precise and inspirational videos! I has been a semi professional photographer for many years getting paid for gigs here and there but never making a living out of it. I am now wanting to leave my software developer job to get back my happiness and get away from the miserable office. I need to take it to the next level and get inspiration and techniques dialled in. I love your videos for your precision and going by examples every time instead of just talking. Also it's all about your photos and photos technique it's not about your ego I just love that so much. I love watching Manny Ortiz too, because his technique is also Spot, but there's too much advertising merchandising and drama. Your channel is just amazing for being so professional and not flooded with all of these above. Do not Change anything keep the good work!!! And yes your videos really give me the desire to test your courses once I make a bit of money. And really it's what other photographers on UA-cam should do instead of flooding their videos with marketing and merchandising they should say okay you want to go further you pay for my quality courses. And separate concerns just like you are doing so well! 😊 Many thanks again 謝謝你!

    Are you using an ND filter? The settings indicated in Lightroom show sub 100 ISO, F1.4 and 1/200 shutter. That can't be a bright sunny day.

  • @jaym5938
    @jaym5938 8 днів тому

    Can we get an idea of what your camera settings are? Shutter needs to be fast enough to avoid motion blur, and ISO can only go so high. Thanks.

      I use 1x3’ or 24” silver beauty dish the most. Plus the two light setup. The mounting accessory for the bottom light is Kupo right angle pin.

      @@KyleCongphoto Does it really matter if the lower softbox in your #3 lighting set up (beauty dish above & small square softbox below) is a 15 x 15 softbox? Can the bottom be a 24 x 24 and the top be a 24" beauty dish octa? I understand your selection is for transportation benefits with smaller modifiers. Clarifying if a 15 x 15 below was specifically for lighting quality or effect. Learning a lot from your videos and like to try new methods, thanks.

      3-4 stops ND are pretty good no matter what brand. It’s only when you use those big stoppers you have to be careful with colour cast. www.amazon.ca/Concept-Filter-Camera-Neutral-Density/dp/B08RNM3Z9G/ref=mp_s_a_1_27?crid=1R7MCV9OVUW8Q&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.F1UGk1wt7tY-jKBwdPLwJF5PYbP-GYz_wW7nlsQ8hiubwNauP4VE-5bBjsbvVGiu_TJZhFD1If-Atb1sYTpN5ccv21lPtXVWYj2BdvrHph2yURrwtb0zyYpfH0LNJGLeu9c48SgBfkId2S-gYeyH8XUk7G3sizU1qjYfVcBQhd1kw0lepxdoKTDke60WN_q1KF78hytzPAn__D1hNFDnCw.yUgPhW-uqonvzDLu8lENEfHR_7FKa19v6GUoJ4jWlo8&dib_tag=se&keywords=nd+filter&qid=1723145679&sprefix=nd%2Caps%2C1011&sr=8-27

    • @KyleCongphoto
      @KyleCongphoto Місяць тому

      I think stripbox is the most versatile modifier. I choose beauty dish because it’s smaller. Sometimes it matches the harsh sun slightly better. But beauty dish will struggle when the ambient light is too dark.

    You really need more viewers. I've watched many videos on "portrait lenses" where they explain the basic effects of different lenses, but don't explain the *craft* considerations of photography, like the effect it has on a non-photography audience. While I had some intuitive ideas about what I'd use a 105mm for, I never thought of the issue of it "looking too much like a photograph", that's a really great way to put that. Well done!
